Salt, pepper, and fat

Feather and dismember birds. Soak overnight in salt and water to remove "wild" taste. Wash in clear water and dry. Sprinkle with flour and brown in fat. Stew in small amount of water with salt and pepper to taste. When nearly done add peeled potatoes cut in quarters. Cook for 10 minutes more. Remove to baking dish. Place spoonfuls of biscuit dough on top and place in 400 F oven for 15 minutes.
