Grilled Game Hens

4 Cornish game hens
Salt, pepper
2 Lemons (or more), optional
1/3 c Dry white wine
1/4 c Butter or margarine,melted
Pitted ripe black olives halved
Lemon slices

Sprinkle game hens inside and out with salt and pepper to taste. If desired, insert whole or half-lemons in cavities. Spear hens on rotisserie rod, arranging tightly side by side. Tie together, if necessary. Combine wine and butter in small bowl. Roast game hens over hot coals about 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until done, rotating slowly and basting frequently with wine-butter sauce. To cook hens indoors, roast on rotisserie in 350-degree oven. Garnish with olives and lemon slices and serve warm or cold.
